[dropcap]C[/dropcap]hampions Leicester City were dealt a true Premier League humbling by the relegation favourites during the sides season opening fixture yesterday afternoon.
Hull City ran out 2-1 winners at the KC Stadium after goals from Adama Diomande and Robert Snodgrass confirmed the win for last seasons play-off victors. Not only will the result hurt Claudio Ranieri and his merry men, the fact that the Foxes struggled to implement any of their typical fast paced attacking football will be particularly disappointing for the side.
Perhaps summing up this frustration more than anyone, was talisman Jamie Vardy.
After scoring 24 goals for Leicester City last season, the spurning of couple of half-chances led to the striker giving himself quite the wake up call.

By wake-up call we of course mean a swift punch across the face….

Ouch.
At least the man’s clearly got a granite chin.
