Teddy Sheringham – Player Profile and what he’s doing now

Teddy Sheringham is a retired English professional footballer who played as a forward. His fast thinking and technical ability made him widely regarded as one of the greatest English strikers of his generation.

He began his career at Millwall before moving to Nottingham Forest in 1991. After becoming a cult favourite at both sides, he would then join Tottenham Hotspur in 1992, scoring 97 goals in 277 appearances for the club. His greatest time at the North Londoners would be joining up with Jurgen Klinsmann during the 94/95 season, creating an electric partnership – a highly memorable time for Spurs fans.

Move to Manchester United

In 1997, he moved to Manchester United, where he won three Premier League titles, the FA Cup, and the UEFA Champions League. The latter contribiting hgley to the victory by scoring a last minute equaliser befire Ole Gunnar Solskjaer netted seconds efter him to win the competition.

Sheringham also had a successful international career, earning 51 caps and scoring 11 goals for the England national team. He was a key player in the England team that reached the semi-finals of the 1996 European Championship. He also represented England at the 1998 and 2002 World Cup, altough as more of a bit part.

What’s Sheringham doin now

After retiring as a player in 2008, playing until the age of 41, Sheringham has been involved in several ventures. He has worked as a coach and a manager, most notably as the manager of Stevenage in the English Football League. He also worked as a television pundit, providing analysis and commentary on football matches. He has also been involved in several business ventures, including opening a sports-themed pub in London.

In addition, Sheringham has been involved in charity work, including being a patron of the Willow Foundation, a charity that provides special days for seriously ill young adults in the UK. He has also been involved in several charity golf tournaments, including the annual Teddy Sheringham Charity Golf Day, which raises money for various charities.
