Roy Hodgson has take the very much honorable decision and resigned as England boss after a humiliating European Championship exit to Iceland.
The former Liverpool and West Brom manager oversaw a lackluster and ideas free performance as England capitulated to their opponents after taking an early 1-0 lead. What was particularly worrying for The Three Lions was the apparent lack of motor skills among the millionaire players, Hodgson, equally astounded as the rest of England, could only look on in horror.
The games post match presso was greeted by Hodgson reading a seemingly pre-prepared resignation statement, before making his final exit, refusing to answer questions by the clearly fuming awaiting journalists.
Watch Hodgson speak to the media after the Iceland defeat in the video below.
The worst defeat in our history. England beaten by a country with more volcanoes than professional footballers. Well played Iceland.
