Bayern Munich genuinely considering signing this Spurs flop

Signed among a litany of other players from the infamous ‘Garth Bale money’ in 2013, Brazilian Paulinho hardly pulled up any trees during his short spell with Tottenham Hotspurs.

A £17m signing from Corinthians, the midfielder soon found himself unwanted by current boss Pochettino, paving away for a money spinning move to China’s Guangzhou.

Whilst such a move to the up and coming football nation would be considered career suicide, it’s seems that Paulinho may just have another shot at the big time.

According to the Sun, Bayern Munich are considering the Spurs flop as a replacement for the magnificent Xabi Alonso, with the Spaniard retiring from the game this coming Summer.

Before Tottenham fans repel in bemusement, the Brazilian all purpose midfielder has been in decent form for his international side, scoring a hat-trick during a shocking 4-1 World Cup qualifying win against Uruguay.

Indeed prior to his failed Premier League experiment, Paulinho was considered one of Brazil’s most exciting young players.

The players versatile skill-set has made Carlo Ancelotti raise his eye brow (admittedly it doesn’t take much), who may seem him as the ideal backup for such luminaries as Arturo Vidal and Thiago.
