Zlatan post Denmark win – “They said they were going to send me to retirement. I sent their whole nation into retirement”

Sweden had the mercurial talent, and giant sized ego, of their 1000 time Swedish player of the year Zlatan Ibrahimovic to thank after the PSG striker’s two goals were enough to see off close rivals Denmark in their Euro 2016 Play-off fixture.

No stranger to lashing out stinging rebukes, Zlatan took particular exception to comments that the Danes would end his international career following a Swedish defeat.

Despite two late goals from from Yussuf Poulsen and Jannik Vestergaard, it was the gold and blue that claimed a Euro 2016 place.

To which Ibra commented post match;

“They said they were going to send me to retirement. I sent their whole nation into retirement”

Harsh words, however nonsensical they may be. It all smacks a little bit of ‘where did you get those, the toilet store?’

Here’s the irrepressible genius talking far more fluently with his feet.
