What with the player the subject of much transfer ramblings all summer, Yannick Bolasie’s move to Everton has been officially sealed this afternoon.
What with the princely sum of £25million going the way of Pardew’s Crystal Palace, The 27-year-old has signed a five-year contract and is set to wear the the No.14 shirt for his side.
Bolasie quickly became a crowd favourite at previous club Crystal Palace after some stellar displays, saying that the winger only knocked in a paltry 12 goals in 122 Premier League games during his four seasons at Crystal Palace.
Whilst the former Eagle formed somewhat of a reputation for making the lives of wing-backs up and down the land very difficult, it’s interesting to see the Toffee’s fork out such a humungous fee. Have the powers-that-be at the Merseyside club felt pressured to part with such cash after a worryingly quiet transfer window? Or will Bolasi finally become the Premier League cult legend his talent suggests.
Time will well and truly tell.
