What with Borussia Dortmund breathing down their necks like a pack of angry dogs, Bayern Munich just about managed to maintain their 5 point advantage at the Bundesliga summit thanks to a hard thought 1-0 win over strugglers Eintracht Frankfurt.
With the match all tied at 0-0, the league champions got the break they needed when Mario Gotze, reportedly still being courted by Liverpool, had his shot parried by Frankfurt’s Lukas Hradecky.
With the ball dangling in the air, Franck Ribery managed to send it flashing past the keeper via a delightful bicycle kick, the Frenchman’s first sizeable contribution to the campaign since coming back from injury.
Here it is.
“There’s simply no budgeting for a finish like that!” @FCBayernEN‘s Franck #Ribery scores with superb scissor kick. https://t.co/H7iX6BAqE3
