Switzerland was left reeling in bitter Euro 2016 disappointment after a penalty miss courtesy of new Arsenal man Granit Xhaka meant Poland progressed to the quarter finals. Whilst the result no doubt hurt country folk alike, the match did see one of the tournaments truly magnificent moments.
What with Switzerland trailing to a singular Polish goal, facing a tournament exit as the final whistle drew closer, the man eloquently known as ‘The Power Cube’, that’s Xherdan Shaqiri to you and me, popped up with a late overhead kick of humongous proportions to spark life into his side.
BEST GOAL OF #EURO2016 so far #Shaqiri #POLSUI

Wowser…Whilst the goal basically means nothing to the Swiss now, it was still great to see the Stoke City attacker give a glimpse into what a hugely talented player he can be.
A goal that even grabbed the attention of a certain (notsomuch)namesake.
The first time in history that a couple both score goals in the Eurocup – Piqué and Shaquiri!!!
