Following Aston Villa’s absurdly bad Premier League season, Villain’s fans must have been waiting with baited breath over who exactly was to be the manager that would guide them through the rocky road of Championship football next season?
And it seems the Birmingham club have wasted no time in finding that one man who has the requisite skills.
Step forward……Roberto Di Matteo.
Backed up by new assistant Steve Clarke, both of whom appeared on the staff role as Chelsea together, the pair replace the husk of a man that was once Remi Garde.
Whilst we know Di Matteo has the outstanding honour of being a Champions League winning gaffer, we’re still somehow unconvinced by his management chops.
Still, best of luck to the man. Surely Villa deserve it considering their season from hell.
