Among Sir Alex Ferguson’s list of unsuccessful buys sits the likes of Argentinian playmaker extraordinaire Juan Sebastian Veron, Brazilian World Cup hero Kleberson and ‘The Cat’ himself – Massimo Taibi.
Perhaps the man that came under he most unfair scrutiny was former Vitoria de Guimaraes player Bebe. Despite the young Portuguese striker presuming that any interest from the Red Devils was nothing but a joke, United parted with £7.4million for his services.
As it’s publically apparent, Bebe’s Old Trafford experience wasn’t the happiest, since leaving the powerful forward has had spells with Cordoba and Benfica, now he ply’s his trade with La Liga outfit Rayo Vallecano.
Showing a glimpse of what Sir Alex saw in him, here’s Bebe converting an almighty 30 yard free-kick during Rayo’s 3-2 defeat to Sevilla this weekend.
