Victor Valdes Leg Wound
Given is harrowing experience as Louis Van Gaal’s whipping boy at Manchester United, it’s been rather nice seeing one of footballs most decorated goalkeepers finally strut his stuff in the Premier League on a consistent basis.
However Victor Valdes clearly hasn’t just come to make up the numbers.
The former Barca keeper was cetral to Middlesbrough’s 1-1 draw away to Manchester City this weekend, and boy did he have the scars to prove it.
Valdes was left with a gaping hole in his leg after an ugly collision with Man City speedster Jesus Navas when the Spaniard had been put through on goal.
Whilst the pictorial evidence turns our stomach, its worth noting that the keeper dusted himself off and carried on.
The ‘bloody’ hero.
