Despite a well published transfer ban, Barcelona have stuck two fingers up to such trivialities and signed Arda Turan from Atletico.
The Catalans ban was supposed to stop any transfer activity during 2015, like a cheeky Lionel Messi sidestep past a hapless defender, Barca have got the Turkish international on board, all ready for action in January when he’ll be eligible.
Whilst being a central part in Diego Simeone’s absurdly successful Atletico side, Turan has considered to chance to play alongside Messi, Neymar and Suarez as too good to turn down. That and the thought of another pre season of Simeone’s regimented running drills was clearly too much to bear.
The knock on effect of all this is of course the availability of Pedro, who is heavily being courted by a certain Mr Wenger.
