Three Koi carp found swimming in Carlisle’s flooded goalmouth

As you may have heard, there is a terrible amount a water engulfing Carlisle at the moment.

Having been hit by Storm Desmond over the course of the week, the town has slowly started the rebuilding process in the wake of devastating floods.

Even Brunton Park couldn’t escape the mayhem, as the town’s football ground is currently reminiscent of an open air swimming pool in a third world country.

As staff somehow fight the elements to get the pitch match ready, head groundsman Dave Mitchell was able to rescue these little fella’s from the goalmouth, ironically nearest the Waterworks End of the stadium…

Even better than that, they were later claimed by their owner.
