Manchester City have finally done the honourable thing and coughed up the required fee to sign want away forward Raheem Sterling.
In a transfer story that petered on interesting months prior (Sterling canvassing for a move on tv certainly jazzed things up a little), City are expected to pay £44m up front, with a further £5m to be added pending additional clauses.
With the England international all booked in for a medical on Monday after negotiating a £200,00 per week contract, it seems all parties have got value for money. The question however remains, will Liverpool be spunking more millions up the wall with their windfall?
Either way.
We can all look forward to a rapturous reception for the little schemer when the two sides meet on the 22nd of November. Tasty.
