The talented former Newcastle United striker hit headlines in his native Colombia back in April after his £43,500 horse, named Lucas, went missing after he lent it to a friend to ride at the Buga Fair parade.
Three months later, after searching high and low for his prized pony, even putting a £1,090 reward (that’s 5m Colombian pesos) for its safe recovery, turns out Tino finally is reunited with his animal friend after Lucas was found in a stable in the Colombian town of Florida.
Turns out the ‘reliable’ friend that borrowed him got so drunk at the parade, he simply gave him away in a drunken stupor.
What a lovely ending.
