With speed in abundance and the strength to bully even the most hardened of opposition, Emile Heskey at his best was a colossal pain in the arse for Premier League defenders to play against. Despite his many achievement you can’t help but feel, what with a penchant for falling over and a scoring record drying up like the remaining water on Mars, that the former Leicester striker is seen as somewhat of a punchline.
Still on the books at struggling Bolton, it seems the former England international is now trying his hand at punditry. And during the BBC’s coverage of Tottenham’s third-round FA Cup clash with Leicester on Sunday, Emile Ivanhoe Heskey made the grandest of debuts.
When host Gabby Logan asked the former England who he fancied prior to kick off, Heskey refused to sit on the fence.
And chose Liverpool…..
