Tal Ben Haim
Italy survived a Giorgio Chiellini sending off to claim a 3-1 win over Israel in their 2018 World Cup qualifying opener last night.
Goals from Graziano Pellé and Antonio Candreva initially put the Azzuri into a comfortable 2-nil lead, that is until opposition striker Tal Ben Haim (sadly not as-in the former Bolton defender) momentarily sucker-punched Italy with a beautiful lone range chip.
Have a look for yourself.
Bootiful, and no mean feat to make someone like Gigi Buffon look so helpless.
Giampiero Ventura’s side proceeded to hold on with the man disadvantage, with Ciro Immobile eventually sealing it with a late third.
