Swansea City have ‘expressed an interest’ in Aleksandar Mitrovic, according to reports.
Bob Bradley is ready to bid £15million for Newcastle striker who scored 8 goals in 18 appearances across all competitions this season (4 goals in 12 appearances in Championship). Swansea came close to signing the hot-headed striker in July 2015 before he moved to the Magpies. Bob Bradley believes that he needs to strengthen his team in January transfer window that has scored only 11 goals since he has taken Swansea’s hot bench.
Mitrovic, who arrived in Newcastle in 2015 for £15million, has shown his talent but he has also show a temperamental character, in many ways a character flaw that has endeared him to the St James’ Park faithful.
The hot-headed striker has fallen behind Championship top scorer Dwight Gayle, who has netted 17 goals in 18 games. Joining Swansea could be great move for young Serbian star. Alan Pardew’s Crystal Palace are also interested in Mitrovic.
Meanwhile Swansea City winger Jefferson Montero is being linked with a move to fellow relegation candidates Hull City in January.
Tigers are understood to be interested the winger, with reports rife that Robert Snodgrass will leave the club in next month’s transfer window. West Brom and Celtic are credited with an interest in the Scottish winger, whose contract expires in the summer.
Montero has struggled for form and fitness this season. He also suffered injury in the defeat to Manchester United where he broke his hand. The 27-years old winger made 11 performances this season mostly from the bench.
