Stoke City’s Marko Arnautovic is facing retrospective punishment after spitting on Holland’s Kenny Tete during Austria’s 2-0 defeat last night.
The tall skilful striker was seen be embroiled in the incident with the 20-year-old Ajax full-back during the Euro 2016 warm-up game at the Ernst Happel Stadium in Vienna. After clearing landing a loogie on the opposition player, Arnautovic responds with utter bemusement when the referee gets involved. Not seeing the reasons for Tete’s discontent, the official fails to show him a red card and instead plays on.
