The Sporting Lisbon B side were left with rather red faces this weekend following an embarrassing incident during a league fixture against Sporting Braga.
Having seemingly opened the scoring against their opponents courtesy of a Pedro Delgado header, Sporting used the proceeding few minutes to thoroughly congratulate each other on fine match opener.
They were soon left with egg on their face however after the referee, not seemingly notified by his assistant during the goal, decided that the effort should be disallowed due to an offside.
With Braga taking advantage of the many players out of position, a swift counter attack led to a well placed curling effort by midfielder Xadas finding the back of the net.
Not only that, Braga would go on to the win the game 2-1.
