Whether its the fact that a pie costs less than a pint, or that every hilarious fan contribution can be heard crystal clear, there’s nothing quite like the lower leagues of English football.
Quite brilliantly, not wishing to miss out on the social media age, it seems many a non league club are still willing to keep their fans up to date with a every kick of the ball. Even if budgets are painfully tight.
Take for instance the young fellow who’s in charge of ninth placed United Counties Premier Division side Sleaford Town FC’s Twitter.
Gleefully keeping everyone updated as his side races into a substantial lead over Boston United yesterday evening, suddenly there was a long pause without tweets.
Sorry for break in tweets. I came on as a sub for Millard. Other subs were Anderson for Millington and Hollingsworth for Wright

That’s right, his assistance was then needed on the field. Sleaford would later draw the match 3-3.
He didn’t seem to have had the greatest effect, here’s his last tweet before the substitution.
Goal for Boston. Through ball from the midfield and the number 10 slots past McGann. 3-1

@BrummieBrad @Captain_Retro @SleafordTownFC @LRMFJ love the mental note he made of other subs whilst playing, too. True professional.
