Spending the entirety of last season at fellow Championship side Middlesbrough, Burnley took a punt on Belgian Jelle Vossen after watching the man put away 9 goals in 32 appearances for the play-off finalists.
Forking up £2.5million to sign the man on 6th July, The Clarets have decided to sell their new acquisition with Club Brugge being Vossen’s new destination – taking a £1million hit in the process.
Vossen, 25, made five appearances for Sean Dyche’s team after joining from Genk in the summer – a huge 8 weeks with the club!
Seems rather strange, however, following the arrival of Andre Gray from Brentford, Burnley obviously felt they could afford to let Vossen go following a surprise enquiry from the Belgians.
A truly great disappearing act from the man nicknamed ‘The Magician’.
