Ronaldo nets superb hat-trick on the way to Real Madrid’s 3-0 (3-2a) win over Wolfsburg

After a nightmare 2-0 Champions League defeat in Germany last week, Real Madrid thought back to claim a 3-0 (3-2 on agg) win over Wolfsburg at the Bernabeu, ensuring their place in the competitions semi’s.

The visitors looked extremely nervy on the night and things swiftly went from bad to worse with shining light Julian Draxler leaving the pitch through injury early on.  With a view to keeping their illustrious opponents at bay, a certain Cristiano Ronaldo made fools of Wolfsburg’s already shaky backline by scoring a quite superb hat-trick.

And the sequence went….

Horribly incompetent defending for the first on 16 minutes.

Just a minute later the Portuguese superstar levelled the tie with this superbly taken header.

Before finishing the Germans off with 13minutes left on the clock with this free-kick.

Perhaps our favourite contribution however was this furious strop after committing a terrible foul.

Hilarious.
Still, what an absurdly good footballer he is.

Just weeks ago Real’s season seemed to be petering out with a whimper, now they have La Liga and the Champions League in their sights.

Maybe Zidane will keep his job after all.
