What with Lionel Messi favourite for the nights big award (and the critics were very much right about this one), many believed that the Argentine superstar would be walking away with two trophies following the years Ballon d’Or ceremony after his wonder goal against Bilbao was up for the Puskas award 2014.
It seems that a campaign in Brazil has in fact led to Wendell Lira collecting the trophy.
And we must say, a worth winner it was too….
