In what could prove to be a telling move come the end of the Barclays Premier League season, Crystal Palace are targeting Swansea City winger Mo Barrow in the January transfer window. Barrow has been one of the very few bright spots in the Swansea side so far this season, but he has failed to do enough to help keep them out of the bottom three. So far this season, Barrow has made 18 appearances, and he has produced two assists.
He’s made 12 appearances as a starter in that time, and he will surely be keen to move on somewhere where he will be more involved. The striker seemed to have a slightly larger role in the side before Bob Bradley showed up to the side. With Bradley at the helm, the Gambian and the rest of his side were shuffled around in a desperate attempt to make something stick. Now, he’ll be hopeful of a place under Paul Clement.
For Palace’s part, they are facing the prospect of potentially losing winger Wilfried Zaha. Barrow could be the answer as he provides pace and trickery as well as crossing from the outside. However, it said that they’d be willing to wait until the summer if they need to. The Gambian has a relegation release clause that’s quite low, and Palace are willing to take whatever route is necessary to bring him to London- whether that be now or after the season is over. If he were to come now, Palace could see the scales tip toward them, and well away from the already lowly Swans – either way, Sun Bets are giving rather lowly odds on the pair and their tough season ahead.
