Another day, another bloated transfer saga involving Manchester City is at an end.
Here’s former Wolfsburg assist obsessive Kevin De Bruyne showing off his new colours in the wake of a ginormous £58million transfer.
Okay well actually seconds before he gets those colours…..
Buoyed by his new Belgian acquisition, Citizens manager Pellegrini commented;
“We are very happy to have added Kevin to our team and I have no doubt that he will be a big success on his return to the Premier League.
“It takes a special footballer to improve our squad and I have no doubt that Kevin is certainly one of those – he has all of the mental, physical, tactical and technical attributes required to fit straight in.
“We like to play attractive, attacking football and bringing in a player like De Bruyne will only aid us as we fight on four fronts.
Having already tasted Premier League football for a full 3 matches under his less than impressed former coach Jose Mourinho, De Bruyne made the £18m trip to Wolfsburg where he proceeded to take the Bundesliga by storm.
No doubt any fellow title contenders will be cacking their pants watching such improvements to an already flying attacking lineup, goes without saying also that the Belgian will love to put one over his former coach.
Where will he fit into the City lineup? With his far more impressive crossing abilities, quite simply Jesus Navas’ position we thinks.
