Threatened with insolvency due to the mismanagement of a £10million loan, it’s fair to say that Northampton Town fans are going through a torrid time as the future of the club looks increasingly bleak.
On the pitch at least things seem to be going swimmingly as the Cobblers collected their first three points in over 15 years away to rivals Luton Town, sending the club to the summit of League Two.
By far the highlight of the 4-3 thriller was this inch perfect training ground free kick manoeuvre as executed in reply to the Hatters opening goal.
Watch as a flurry of disguised passes eventually leads to ball to finding the capable feet of John Joe O’Toole, who caps it all off perfectly with a first-time finish past Mark Tyler.
