Manchester United had their inimitable Swede, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, to thank for saving them from the clutches of defeat during a fiery Old Trafford affair against Liverpool yesterday afternoon.
A 27th Minute James Milner penalty looked to have given Klopp’s men an almighty away win, that is until United’s star striker popped up 5 minutes from time to send the home contingent into raptures.
In all, it was the least Mourinho’s team deserved after Liverpool’s brand of frantic attacking play was largely nullified throughout.
In fact it would be the much maligned Simon Mignolet keeping them in the equation with a string of saves, such key intervention kept out both Ibrahimovic and Mkhitaryan during the first half.
Much of the post match attention however would be focused on the biggest personalities, that is the clash between Jose and Jürgen.
With the final whistle closing in, the former Dortmund man reacted strongly to a rash challenge by Anders Herrera on key man Roberto Firmino.
Needles to say, the final handshake was an icy affair to say the least.

The tension was clearly infectious.
Watching in the above SkySports studio, Red’s legend Graeme Souness and Jamie Carragher disagreed over their very own Herrera/Firmino moment, that is the horrendous defending on display with Paul Pogba for the Liverpool opener.
With his lacklustre marking resulting in a handball, Carragher took to the defence of the footballing icon by saying he was block.
Only for Souness to disagree entirely.
