Team News
Tottenham Hotspur are still without their defensive midfielder Victor Wanyama, who remains sidelined with a knee injury. Meanwhile, talismanic striker Harry Kane is not expected to play on Wednesday after he was taken off in the club’s game against Liverpool during the weekend. Winger Erik Lamela is also out because of fitness.

West Ham manager Slaven Bilic might opt to rest utility man Michail Antonio because of fitness concerns while veteran defender James Collins remains doubtful after his knee injury last month. Nevertheless, Hammers’ Andy Carroll is widely expected to play following suspension.

Tottenham come into this game filled with confidence after their massive 4-1 win against Liverpool during the weekend. It was an indication that manager Mauricio Pochettino has finally gotten his squad into the groove. They also managed to impress after holding Real Madrid to a 1-1 draw in the Champions League last week.

The Hammers don’t appear to have their focus right at the moment, their embarrassing 3-0 defeat against newly-promoted side Brighton and Hove Albion a testament to that. If West Ham don’t find their mojo any time soon, they could well kiss their League Cup run goodbye.

Match Prediction
Tottenham have been stellar in recent weeks and there is no reason to believe they won’t pull off another spectacular performance on Wednesday in front of their home fans at Wembley. They simply have the better squad and are expected to win this game with little difficulty
