Form Guide
Chelsea’s last defeat came to London rivals West Ham United, with David Moyes’ band of relegation fodder turning the formbook upside down with a hard though victory. Since then they have gone on to record 4 wins and 2 draws, the last result being an thralling 2-2 result against Arsenal. Hardly rotten form, however the 3rd placed side are still experiencing rather sore necks looking up at pace setters Manchester City who are a massive 16 points ahead of them. Whilst the squad will feel the Premier League trophy is slipping awat fast, much of the squad will be playing for their World Cup 2018 places.
Sitting 5 places below, Claude Puel’s mini revival has recently been interrupted by defeats to Palace, Watford and Liverpool, however a dominant 3-0 win over newsboys Huddersfield has stopped the recent rot. With the January transfer deadline looming weeks away, squad harmony may be tested with the recent rumblings of Riyad Mahrez transfer to Arsenal.
Previous meeting
The early season September affair was edged by the Blue’s via goals from newboy Alvaro Morata, as well as former Foxes legend N’Golo Kante – the Frenchman at least showing his respect for the former Premier League champions with a rather subdued celebration. Whilst Leicester were struggling for three points at the time, Chelsea had to be at their best to shut out their opponents after a glut of chances were missed by Jamie Vardy and co.

Injury news
The only major doubt for Puel’s Leicester side is Robert Huth who is still struggling for fitness. Talisman Jamie Vardy remains a minor doubt after suffering a groin strain.
Antonio Conte’s on the other hand has the luxury of a near empty physio room, with the only player certain to miss out being new boy Ross Barkley as he resumes his fight back from a long term injury suffered during his Toffee’s days.
Our Prediction
Whilst Leicester can be a frighting attacking punch at the King Power, presuming Vardy is fit for the encounter, the Blue’s will likely snatch a win with a little bit of Morata magic.
