Manchester United claimed the local bragging rights following a closely fought 1-0 win over City at the Etihad yesterday afternoon.

Just as the Citizens’ Premier League title has dramatically fallen by the wayside, a Champions League place has suddenly become in real jeopardy as Louis Van Gaal’s side out of nowhere have appeared right over their shoulder, just one point behind in fact.

What with the poor sod being given the old heave-ho in favour of the messiah that is Pep Guardiola, you could be forgiven for thinking that poor old Pellegrini couldn’t give too hoots whether or not Man City would be appearing in Europe’s premier competition next season.

Judging from yesterday’s post match interview however, the Chilean manager has clearly become increasingly narked at his sides fall from grace.
