Liverpool are open to offers for Lazar Markovic this summer after confirmation that he does not feature in the plans of manager Jurgen Klopp. The Serbian joined the Reds from Benfica two years ago.
Markovic was loaned out to Turkish side Fenerbahce last season as he failed to make the most of his opportunities in his debut Premier League campaign.
Goal.com says the Reds are willing to cash in on their asset over the transfer window with the player lacking the necessary flexibility to adapt to Klopp’s style of play next season.
Sporting Lisbon are currently leading the chase for the Serbian, whilst a host of clubs in Italy and Spain are keeping close tabs on the player’s developments.
Markovic, a youth product from Partizan Belgrade, won the treble in his sole season with Benfica.
The 22-year-old had an average spell in Istanbul last term netting just two goals in 21 appearances for Fenerbahce.
