[dropcap]W[/dropcap]hilst he hasn’t featured in a single minute of his side’s pre season due to an Achilles problem, Mamadou Sakho has reportedly been sent home from the clubs training camp in Palo Alto/California due to poor attitude – According to the BBC.
The former PSG centre-half has endured somewhat of a roller coaster of emotions during his short Liverpool career, starring in the Red’s Europa League campaign – only to miss out on the final against Seville due to suspension when failing a drugs test. Fortunately the proposed lengthy ban was rescinded when UEFA concurred that the fat-burning substance he took should not be included on their banned list.
Clearly in high spirits on the Reds’ trip across the Atlantic after being included in the injured party for the purposes of team spirit, it’s believed that Klopp has grown impatient with the Frenchman’s attitude during the tour.
Sakho turned up late for the Merseyside clubs flight to the US while last weekend he interrupted an interview Klopp was conducting with the club website. The German jokingly threatened to leave Sakho behind on Alcatraz Island – despite the fun and frolics, the two’s relationship has deteriorated since.
The Frenchman has now been sent to continue his rehabilitation back at Melwood training ground.
