Just like when Woody Harrelson scored a winning penalty at Old Trafford, there’s something disconcertingly unfamiliar about Hollywood movie stars mixing with English football.
Post Manchester United’s disappointing 1-1 draw with West Ham United, the Theatre of Dreams was surreal blessed with the presence of 90’s A-lister Julia Roberts, to make things weirder she was chaperoned by none other than Michael Carrick.
Like a Geordie Richard Gere, United’s midfield pass master was tasked with giving the Pretty Women star an introduction to the hallowed turf, along with her footy mad family.
Indeed Roberts even stayed for the best British football has to offer, a hilarious Jose Mourinho meltdown.
If that’s not enough to bring her back….
