It’s been quite a head spinning 12 months for poor old Victor Valdes. Not long ago the Spaniard was busy keeping goal for the greatest club side of all time, now the man that bears more than a striking resemblance to Shane from Boyzone, is well and truly out on the scrap heap.
With Louis Van Gaal trashing his number two in the press, commenting: “He doesn’t follow my philosophy, there is no place for someone like that”, after accusing his player of refusing to play for the United reserve side. It seems Valdes has ignored the advice of any sane man and struck back at his coach.
Victor posted on his Instagram and Twitter evidence that he had in fact played for the reserves on more than one occasion.
