Super Pippo has always seemed the definition of a divisive player. Whilst being described as technically flawed even in his heyday (he was even once criticised by Johan Cruyff as being “born off-side”), the spindly striker had little time for his short comings as he stormed to an impressive 200 career goals in Italy’s top flight. Not to mention claiming a World Cup winners medal, two Champions League medals and three Serie A titles.
A marmite player by nature, something about the floppy haired forward sure brings out the crazies.
Here’s Milan fan Antonio Dell’infante expressing his undying love for Pippo by showing of his brand new tattoo….that covers his WHOLE back.
Captioned alongside his masterpiece is a note that reads:
“[Dearest Pippo,] To me you are and always will be the best player in the world. The player whenever marked, made me move and cry.
“Everything I did it for you, because it will never forget you.”
Good lord, get out of the house now Pippo!
Joking aside, the former Milan and Juventus player was rather humbled by the gesture when he stumbled across it, even going as far as thanking his fan with a private message.
We’re sure Antonio will be wearing a rather large grin for some time.
