Hull City given boost by Snodgrass and others

Massive news for Hull City as they attempt to keep themselves in the Premier League come season’s end. Robert Snodgrass and a host of other players have put pen to paper for deals that will see them stay at the club until 2018. This deal is massive because it takes the pressure to sell them- or see them leave for nothing- completely off of Hull, and now will allow them to give the relegation battle everything they have as the calendar turns over to January.

Snodgrass is the team’s ace, and he would have been sorely missed had he gone to fellow relegation contenders in West Ham or Sunderland, as had been reported in recent days. Snodgrass offers goals and assists, so he would have been a terrible loss for the Tigers.

Midfielder Jake Livermore has also extended his time at Hull, much to the relief of fans. Livermore has been a central part of Hull City since making the switch, and he has been a great team player for them as he has played at the back quite capably when the team were very thin on defenders.

Hull City also have been able to hang on to young left back Andy Robertson. Robertson has been rumored to be moving on to much bigger things in the future with Liverpool and Manchester United both linked with him. However, Hull have ensured that if he does go, they’ll get much more money for him.

The other three players to have extended their deals are former Spurs center back Michael Dawson, defender Harry Maguire, and Uruguayan forward Abel Hernandez.
