The man is 69 and has the knees of someone twice his age, that doesn’t stop Harry Redknapp’s name being banded round like an unwanted leaflet.
Now the former Tottenham and West Ham manager has reached his pinnacle, it being Slovenian side NK Olimpija Ljubljana who have added old ‘Arry to their head coach shortlist.
Olimpija director Ranko Stojic told Slovenian newspaper Ekipa (via the Guardian);
In your newspapers you have already mentioned that Olimpija could get Harry Redknapp, and there are some possibilities for this scenario to really materialise.
Of course, there is no need to say that this is mainly due to the relationship that he has with our president – their relationship is our greatest asset.
Redknapp also has an offer from the Arab world, but if he doesn’t go there he might come to us.
The president Stojic is referring to is Harry’s old buddy from the Pompey days, Milan Mandaric. Like getting the band back together! albeit in rather underwhelming circumstances, certainly not the stadium gigs they were once accustomed to.
If he gets it, who wants to put a fiver on the man booking a plane ticket for Slovakia?
