Germany v Slovakia: Marek Hamsik’s long range beauty may make worrying viewing for Roy Hodgson

After an iffy qualification campaign in the shadow of a glorious 2014 World Cup win, Germany have struggled of late to get back that much required fluidity that made them such dominant world beaters.

Despite another major tournament on the horizon, the talented squad showed no signs of improvement during yesterday evenings 3-1 friendly defeat to Slovakia.

Mario Gomez got the World Champions off to a flyer with the opener, however Marek Hamsik, Michal Duris and Juraj Kucka pegged Joachim Lowe’s side back during the fixture in Augsburg.

Hamsik’s absolutely superb goal in particular will interest both England and Wales who face the Slovakians during the Euro’s group stage.
