Perhaps missing the opportunity to boss his younger brother around at any given opportunity, Gary Neville is set to depart his famous punditry position at SkySports to take a head coach role at Valencia.
The former flying full back will take the reigns alongside Phil who as been with the the La Liga club since the start of the season. It’s believed his position in England setup will still remain.
Speaking on the clubs official website, G’Nev commented;
I am absolutely thrilled to be given this opportunity with Valencia.
Valencia are a huge football club of immense standing and I know from my time as a player the passion and dedication of the Valencia fans.
I am really looking forward to working with the club’s talented group of players and am excited about the challenge ahead.
Whilst it may seem a little out of the blue to have the the two former England internationals on the books at the illustrious Spanish club, we must remember that Valencia are currently owned by a certain Peter Lim – the Singapore businessman who is also throwing cash into the Fergie Fledgling helmed non-league side Salford City.
Naturally Carra was absolutely devastated.
Bit of a dig at poor Pegguy, no?
