Never has a player been idolised by the Giallorossi quite like Francesco Totti, the epitome of the “one club man”.
Just 16 years of age when he made his Roma debut in a Serie A clash with Brescia on March 28 1993, Totti’s influence on the club has been ginormous, a footballing behemoth.
Now at the grand old age of 38 (39 next month), Totti has scored his 300th goal for the club, during Sunday’s Serie A clash with Sassuolo at the Stadio Olimpico.
Clearly standing in an offside position before tucking the ball away in a typically self assured fashion, the visitors were quite right to protest…not that Roma fans gave two hoots of course.
700 appearances in a 24-season career with one club, a true legend.
