Some truly gut wrenching news this.
Former Sunderland and Ipswich goalkeeper Marton Fulop sadly passed away yesterday at the age of just 32 from cancer.
Fulop was diagnosed with in 2013 whilst playing for Greek side Asteras Tripoli, a lump from his arm was subsequently removed. However as reported from various Hungarian news outlets, Marton eventually lost his fight with the disease.
The former keeper represented a host of English clubs including the likes of Man City, Tottenham, West Brom, Stoke City, Leicester City and Coventry City. Not forgetting representing his country Hungary on 24 occasions.
Are thoughts are with Marton’s family.
