Premier League side Everton are thought to be keen on launching a bid for Charlton Athletic’s young front-man Ademola Lookman once the transfer window opens in a few days.
Lookman, 19, has been in impressive form for Charlton this season. Indeed, in his 25 appearances for the Addicks across all competitions in this campaign, he has scored six goals and tallied two assists.
Lookman plays in the left-wing position, but also has the ability to play as the main striker or attacking midfielder.
Such a gift for finding the net at such a young age is believed to have caught the attention of Everton boss Ronald Koeman.
True enough, according to the Dutch daily Algemeen Dagblad, Koeman is highly interested in bringing the young striker from Wandsworth to Goodison Park, and is planning a move on the 19-year-old come January.
Lookman has been with Charlton since 2015. Whether Everton will indeed place a transfer bid on the Lookman, and should Charlton accept a bid if it comes, remains uncertain.
Lookman has a total seven youth caps for England, having made his first international appearance in May 2016 when the England U19s faced Mexico. Lookman then made it to the England squad that played in the European U19 Championships last summer.
Lookman’s contract with Charlton Athletic is set to expire in 2020.
