Whilst Mauricio Pochettino certainly has larger fish to fry in the shape of a big shiny Premier League trophy, the Argentine manager would have no doubt winced as his second string side took a 3-0 walloping from Borussia Dortmund in the Europa League last night.
African footballer of the year Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang started the evenings proceedings with a header sending Dortmund in at the break 1-0 up.
In the second-half, German attacker Marco Reus added a brace to put the Black and Yellows out of sight ahead of the oncoming second leg.
His second was an unadulterated work of beauty as well. Just watch as the German side rip Tottenham clean apart with some beautiful incisive passing.
