Newcastle United have confirmed the signing of Crystal Palace attacker Dwight Gayle for a fee of £10m.
The 25-year-old, who joined the Eagles for £5million in 2013. has now committed his long-term future by signing a five-year deal on Tyneside.

Newcastle manager Benitez told the club’s official website: “Dwight is a great player, a proven goalscorer, and it is fantastic news that he has joined us.
“He has a big personality, a lot of energy and pace. He is a good finisher also, so he will add goals to our squad, for sure. He knows English football well, too, and that is important in the Championship.
“I am sure Dwight will want to prove he can make a big difference to our team and I am looking forward to working with him.”
The Magpies has continued to strengthening the squad at St James’ Park by securing the services of the Englishman who notched 26 goals in all competitions during his three-year stay at Selhurst Park.
