After a promising early career as a professional footballer, it seems Cherno Samba, the man known as ‘the lost wonderkid’, has decided to call it quits from the professional game at the grand old age of 29.

After representing England at every youth age, the man’s career petered out astoundingly after moves to Manchester United and Liverpool never materialised. Amazingly Cherno’s career stats, whether it’s his spells in the lower leagues of Greece or Norway, only show a handful of games played and a lot less goals scored.
It’s in Championship manager however that the former striker will live long in our hearts. So, so many happy hours spent.
