Following a stellar season at Upton Park last year as well as a brand new stadium complex on the horizon, the summer transfer window saw West Ham United connected with a host of top world class names.
Recently however the sides ability to attract the crème de la crème of the footballing world has taking somewhat of a hammer blow after some abhorrent league form has left Slaven Bilic’s side languishing at the wrong end of the table.
After gently mulling over a move to the Hammers months prior, negotiations that eventually lead to the Colombian sticking with the Serie A giants, AC Milan hotshot Carlos Bacca hasn’t wasted time in sticking his boot into the ailing side.
Speaking to Corriere della Sera, via Joe, Bacca expressed his pure relief at deciding against the move.
“I made the best decision [in choosing to remain with Milan], thank God”, he muttered.
“Here I have an important role, I always felt a leader, a mature player because I tried different leagues.”
Whilst the multi Champions League winners have somewhat stumbled for there high status in the game, the Rossoneri currently find themselves in third in the Serie A standings with Bacca netting an impressive six goals in eight appearances.
