Liverpool will win the title
The last few seasons have seen a huge resurgence in the success of Liverpool under the management of Jurgen Klopp, new signings such as Allison, Virgil van Dijk, Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah have helped to turn the squad into a real powerhouse. This Liverpool not only play attractive, attacking football but also have the grit and determination needed to defend well and win titles, as seen when they came back from 3 goals down against Barcelona in the Champions League, later going on the lift the trophy. This big win will do wonders for their confidence and now we could see them finally lift the Premier League.
Newcastle will be relegated
Always sad to see a stalwart of the Premier League go down, the relegation of Newcastle will be that much worse after seeing how promising the side were under the management of Rafa Benitez. Unfortunately, due to the owner Mike Ashley’s unwillingness to back Benitez in the transfer window Rafa resigned and Newcastle now see themselves managed by Steve Bruce. Although Bruce is a competent manager the situation at Newcastle looks dire after they’ve lost several key players and haven’t replaced them.
Tottenham will finally win some silverware
Although it’s been more than eleven years, this could finally be Tottenham’s chance to snatch a trophy as their young squad is maturing and has been complemented with some quality players this transfer window. Tottenham have come close in recent seasons, losing the Champions League final last season and losing semi-finals of the FA cup in 17/18 and 16/17 but players like Harry Kane will no doubt be spurred on by these losses.
Wolves will break into the top six
Wolves are coming off the back of a terrific season having finished 7th, just 9 points behind Manchester United, in their first season back in the Premier League. Although their squad is a little thinner than some of the other teams around them, they have done well to hold on to some terrific players such as Rúben Neves and João Moutinho. Wolves will have to play in the Europa League this season which could tire their squad, but it’s likely they will field youngsters and focus on the league.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be one of the first managers to be sacked
Despite his initial success when appointed caretaker manager of Manchester United, Ole quickly saw results turn against him after he had been given a long contract by the board. Although the club have been patient with underperforming managers in the past, Solskjaer may be on a shorter leash here as Manchester United probably can’t afford to miss out on Champions League qualification again.
