Watch: Emre Can nets almighty goal of the season contender against Watford

Following on from both Manchester sides’ inability to grab 3 points at the weekend, Liverpool’s Champions League hopes were dealt a further boost as they battled to a 1-0 away win at Watford.

Overall the Vicarage Road affair was one to forget, with the visitor hampered by an early injury to attacking wizz Philippe Coutinho, thankfully Emre Can popped up with an absolute peach to make it an occasion to remember for the travelling support.

With half-time looming, the German international can be seen receiving a pass from Lucas Leiva, awkwardly with his back to goal. Rather than hold the ball up for the ensuing Liverpool forward line to support him, Can proceeds to drop an almighty overhead kick effort past the hapless Hornets keeper.

An absolute doozy we think you’ll agree.

Unsurprisingly, the Liverpool midfield was rather chuffed with his endeavours, commenting post game;
“That is the best goal I’ve ever scored.

“I saw the space and I ran behind and my first thought was I wanted to head it, then I didn’t think too much.
