Liverpool to make shock Zaha move?

With Sadio Mane’s departure coming in about ten days’ time, Liverpool are weighing up an offer for Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha when the January transfer window opens, according to Football Whispers. This would be a shocking move for a number of reasons. The first reason is that Zaha is a former Manchester United player. He never quite got the opportunities that he needed as he was quite young when he first moved to one of the biggest clubs in the world, so he ended up having to move to Crystal Palace to get his chance.

Now that he has gotten his chance at Crystal Palace, he has done quite well. He’s been Palace’s best player for stretches this season with his pace and trickery from out on the wings. It would be a massive blow to Crystal Palace- and their manager Alan Pardew- if the young 24 year old Ivory Coast international were to leave Selhurst Park for Anfield. Palace have really struggled without the running of Yannick Bolasie this season, and they’d surely be doomed without him and Zaha. It would be a very shocking move to see him go in January, but it could be done.

Crystal Palace would certainly be sent shaking, and they would have to figure out a replacement very quick. They’ve had a leaky back line all season, but they still cannot afford to lose such a quality player that has helped them stay in matches with goals when they absolutely had to score bundles of them. The big news of this potential story is not about Liverpool. Rather, it will be how Crystal Palace can respond if and when Zaha leaves. They’ll have to recover quickly, or they will end up cast adrift from England’s big table.
